Ductwork Cleaning in Commercial Buildings
Bacteria and mold inside the HVAC systems of commercial offices and shopping malls cause Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). We are here to help you cure it!
Why start cleaning your ventilation?
Office HVAC ductwork is highly susceptible to the presence of bacteria and mold, which can lead to what is known as “Sick Building Syndrome.”
Allergies and Asthma
Contaminated HVAC systems with constant temperatures and humidity levels provide an ideal breeding ground for microorganisms that can cause chronic respiratory issues.
Hygienic risk
If you experience dry eyes or a sore throat only inside a building, your building is sick. Ventilation cleaning can ‘heal’ your building.
European norms
The European norm EN 15 780 determines the intervals of inspections and levels of contamination of HVAC systems. It also recommends cleaning of contaminated ventilation.
HVAC systems in commercial buildings
The quality of work environment is greatly affected by the air quality. Periodical controls and cleaning of the ventilation systems is an important part of the maintenance. Ventilation with permanent temperature and humidity control is a great place for the growth of bacteria, molds and yeast, which are responsible for respiratory problems and allergies.
Grease exhaust cleaning
Deposits of fat and grease in ventilation systems are a great fire risk. Grease filters in kitchen hoods catch only about 80-90 % of it. Over time, the rest usually condenses and settles in grease exhausts or in the ventilators. The fire then often quickly spreads throughout the whole system regardless of fire dampers. Regular cleaning is indispensable.

How does it work?
Westfield Chodov – Prague
In the Westfield Chodov shopping center in Prague, we have set up a preventive plan for inspections and cleaning of ventilation systems, especially for the grease exhausts from the restaurants. Due to the number of business units, this requires large-scale organizing and planning so as not to limit the operation of the shopping center. We also conduct microbiological swap inspections.
